Mailing Lists
Mailing lists are email forums. The following lists might be of particular interest to GOVnet & K12net users.
K12net-Announce
K12net-announce is a mailing list that the Govnet group uses to make announcements and to keep technology coordinators and other interested users up-to-date on K12net-related plans and issues. It is not a discussion list. To subscribe, send email to announce-request@list.k12.vt.us with subscribe in the body of the message. Questions or comments about k12net-announce may be sent to owner-announce@list.k12.vt.us.
Schoolnet
Schoolnet is a mailing list for people who are involved in using technology in Vermont K-12 educational institutions. Its primary purpose is sharing and technical support for the practitioners in Vermont schools.

Vermont E-Rate
The Vermont E-Rate list is devoted to helping schools make the most of the FCC Telecommnications Discounts for Schools and Libraries, a part of the Universal Service program aimed at bringing advanced telecommunication services to every classroom.The discussions focus on the nitty gritty of E-Rate applications and regulations, constructing good school technology plans, evaluating bids and proposals, locating and securing additional funding, providing professional development, and encouraging community support.

Internet Service Providers
GOVnet does not provide Internet access to individuals for their personal use. But Vermont has many private Internet service providers from which to choose.
This section is provided as a convenience for GOVnet and K12net users and for others. A listing in this section should not be construed as constituting a recommendation or an endorsement. Nor should omission from this list be construed as constituting disapprobation.
